SELE FARM BOWLS CLUB is situated in delightful Hartham Common on the outskirts of Hertford with the River Beane flowing alongside.
FREE TASTER SESSIONS: Whether a newcomer or experienced, you are welcome to come along for a free go. We can supply the equipment so there really is no excuse for not giving us a try.
NEW MEMBERS: One of the key features is that we welcome male and females from at little as 13 years, while top of the shop are two lady members of 95 years young. We even have a couple of semi-disabled and one lad with learning difficulties, so we cater for all. The main thing is that they really enjoy their bowls. One of them even won our in-house “Blind” Pairs trophy last year (blind being that it’s drawn out-of-the-hat, so you don’t know who you’ll get drawn with).
We offer teaching and training to everyone willing to give bowling a go, so you can get rather good in no time.Members fees: £70 a year for which you play/practise as often as you wish. We have friendly comps at weekends when newcomers are particularly encouraged to play. But for those we charge two or three pounds to cover the cost of food and tea.
KEEP ACTIVE: Bowling not only keeps people active but gets them to interact socially. In the winter months We have monthly social meetings which covers everything from bingo to team games which helps the memory and creates great laughs.
The big plus are the bowls games themselves, for absolutely everyone gets to play and have lots of fun of course.
